Is the Box actually going to keep my phone in?

It keeps your phone in as well as a four-digit combination lock keeps anything in. There is no app and no shortcut. If you set a code and close the lid, the phone is in there until you dial the code back. The lock defeats the version of you that reaches for the phone without thinking. It will not defeat a determined person with tools, and it is not meant to.

What if there is an emergency and I need my phone?

The Box has no timed lockout. It opens whenever you dial the correct four-digit code. In a genuine emergency you simply open it. The friction is the few seconds it takes to dial and unthread the cable, which is enough to interrupt an absent-minded reach but not enough to trap you.

What is the steel cable for?

Loop it through something fixed, a radiator pipe, a desk leg, a heavy chair. The phone is then not just shut in a box but anchored in place. You cannot pick the box up and carry it to the sofa. That is deliberate.

Will the Faraday pouch block emergency calls?

Yes, while the phone is inside. That is the point. Take the phone out when you want signal back. The pouch is a tool for deciding when you are reachable, not a method of permanent disconnection.

Does the Pouch actually block signal?

Faraday shielding works on physics, not software. The silver-lined fabric blocks radio in normal use, so the phone goes quiet because nothing can reach it. Slide the phone in, seal the flap, and within a second it shows no signal. Slide it out and signal returns.

Why does the Pouch come as a pair?

Because one is rarely enough. One lives by the front door for evenings at home, one travels in a bag for dinners and meetings. Or the second goes to the other person in the house who also says they will put their phone away.

Will this work?

For some people, yes. For others, no. The objects do nothing that you could not also do by setting your phone to airplane mode and putting it in a drawer. What they do is make the choice physical, slightly inconvenient, and harder to reverse. For some people that is the entire difference. For others it is not. We cannot tell which one you are. Our returns policy exists for the second case.

Shipping?

Free over £40 within the United Kingdom. Both items ship from the UK, typically 4 to 7 working days. Outside the UK we ship to most of Europe, charged at cost.

Returns?

Thirty days, no questions, no quibble. Send it back in any reasonable condition. We refund within five working days of receipt. The return shipping is on you for non-defective returns, on us for anything that arrives broken.
